Hello! I’m May, the founder of RAINBOW+Co, a petit atelier where timeless elegance meets heartfelt creativity. My journey back to design and craftsmanship was born from stepping away from corporate life and returning to the passions that have always defined me — fashion, sewing, food, and art.

Growing up in vibrant Southeast Asia, I was immersed in a rich tapestry of textures, colours, and multicultural influences. Though my early career took me away from the creative path, life’s winding journey eventually led me back to my roots. Almost 16 years ago, marriage brought me to the beautiful island of Malta, which I now call home. Today, I channel my heritage, my love of travel, and the joyful inspiration of my two daughters into every piece I create. Guided by the philosophy of slow fashion and classic style, each of my hair accessories and bags is thoughtfully handcrafted to transcend trends and celebrate individuality.

I have a particular love for Japanese canvas when crafting bags, while the fabrics for my hair accessories are often handpicked during travels around the world. A self-confessed perfectionist, I take pride in the fine details — from seamlessly finished scrunchies to hand-sewn headbands, I craft each piece carefully from start to finish.
